Bio

Lisa Bednar’s love for design began as a young child and has continued as a passion throughout her career. From those early years drawing homes designs, planning rooms and dollhouses, it grew to decorating her first home interiors and then on to her homegrown decorating service developed by word of mouth demand.

Finally, after her own home was featured on the Remodelers’ tour for two consecutive years due to her design, she transformed her on-going hobby into business. After complementing her natural love of design and style with educational coursework and design training, she put all those skills to work assisting in the development of a successful design and staging sales team at a well-established, upscale furniture chain.  Now, upon relocating to Ohio, Lisa’s infused her passion into Stages of Design. Here her knowledge and credentials in staging and design combine with her real estate experience to get homes sold!

 

Here she partners with clients to design the living space of their dreams or the work space that inspires them. Here she works to create and stage the event that their memories are made of.

Philosophy

Design. It’s about understanding form and function. Substance and style. But even more, it’s understanding how to match a living space to those who’ve chosen to live there. It’s knowing how to tailor a home’s appearance for prospective homebuyers. It’s creating the appropriate working atmosphere for a business to succeed.

Every room, every space, every home can be perfected with the right sense of design. The difference can be as simple as a change of color or re-arrangement of furniture. It can be more involved, by adding new textures, materials or fixtures. The key is getting to know the people, working together on a plan, and then making it work within your proposed budget.

At Stages of Design, our philosophy is simple. We don’t simply work for our clients; we work with our clients. Because the perfect design solution doesn’t come from an outside consultant. It comes from inside the people who own the home or business. A good designer just knows how to bring it out and bring it to life.
